Functions & Duties

  • To perform the duties as per section 48 of BPMC act 1949.
  • A Secretary is a connecting link between the Elected representatives and Administration.
  • To issue notice of General Body Meeting, Standing Committee Meeting, Special Committee Meeting, Adhoc Committee Meeting,
  • To record the minutes of the above meetings.
  • To Maintain record and all papers, documents connected with the above Meeting proceedings and Common Seal of Corporation.
  • To control over acts and proceedings of the said officers and Servants.
  • To conduct the election of Mayor, Dy.Mayor, Nominated councilors, School board, Standing committee, Special committees
  • To pay Honorarium & meeting allowance bill of councilors.
